The world we live in is not perfect but it is the only one we have.

The society we live in is predominantly run by conventional energy resources. From a small two wheeler bike to a huge cement producing industry. Though a significant proportion of the human population has switched to renewable energy, is it possible that we can survive extinction due to depletion of resources???

“Statistical Review of World Energy” published in mid-2014 says that the world has in reserves 892 billion tonnes of coal, 186 trillion cubic meters of natural gas, and 1688 billion barrels of crude oil. These numbers seem to be huge at a glance, but taking into account today’s level of extraction proved reserves of coal will be exhausted in 113 years.

“So… What happens in 113 years??”

As responsible citizens we ought to eradicate the crisis and make sure we leave our younger generations a peaceful environment to live in.!

“What is the alternative?”

A biofuel is a fuel that contains energy from geologically recent carbon fixation, such as plants. These fuels are produced from living organisms. These fuels are made by a biomass conversion (biomass refers to recently living organisms, most often referring to plants or plant-derived materials). This biomass can be converted to convenient energy containing substances (fuel) in solid, liquid, or gas form. This new biomass can be used as biofuels. Biofuels have increased in popularity because of rising oil prices and the need for energy security.

Promptly concluding the above message in a statement. – “Switching to Biofuels is the need of the hour.”

ASHOK Associates is 1 such step taken towards the same.
